Catherine Matos Olivo is a Professor in the Deparment of Image and Design at  Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico and the Deparment of Communication at  Universidad del Sagrado Corazón Puerto Rico. 

As an artist’s, she has participate in collective shows such as the Brooklyn Art Library in New York, Space Gallery in Portland, Hyde Park Center in Chicago, Transformer Gallery in Washington DC, The Granite Room in Atlanta, Austin Museum of Arts in Texas, Full Sall University in Florida, 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco and Form Space Atelier in Seattle, United States. Internationally, Matos has collaborated with other artist to exhibit at the 10th Istanbul Emergency Biennale in Turkey, Zemos 98 in Spain and the OK Offenes Kulturhaus Oberösterreich in Austria. In her country Puerto Rico the artist’s has exhibited in numerous museums and spaces of importance such as El Cuartel de Armas y Artillería Ballaja, Hospital de la Concepción El Grande, Galería Guatibiri, Centro de Conveciones de Puerto Rico, Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, Museo de Arte de Caguas, Espacio La15, Cart Wash, Colegio de Abogados and Arsenal de la Marina Española.

ecently  Matos was awarded the Changarrito 2011 in México and publish her first book with Colección Maravilla entitled Galactic Vision the sketchbook project of my cancer year.
